The following has been converted and gives English (lbs and oz) and Amercian (Cup) measurements. In future you can use the weight converter in the links section to convert!

These are named after the fellow who first gave them to us many years ago. I quite often make them at Christmas and give to friends, but good for a treat at any time!

4 oz/1/2 C Icing sugar
2 oz/1/4 C Unsalted Butter
3 oz/1/3 C Dessicated Coconut
2 oz/ 1/4 C Glace cherries chopped
2 oz /1/4 cWalnuts or Almonds chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Melted chocolate for dipping

Cream butter and sugar together. Stir in other ingredients and form into small balls. Put into fridge to harden. Dip in chocolate and return to fridge again.

Enjoy - they won't last long!

What about regular cherries? It sounds like a yummy recipe.
